August 2019 Newsletter

It's the beautiful month of August!!!!!

You know what that means? It means a great deal actually! Our children return back to school, football is back, and we will be one step closer to finishing the project that I know is on everyone's mind. Seeing the completion of our new sanctuary.  What a joy that will be! Can you imagine it?  Better days are coming for sure.

It is also that time of year for our committees to meet and begin to prepare for the charge conference. It is not going to be easy because our meeting this year is early in the schedule. September 8th @ 6pm in the fellowship hall. This conference is led by our District Superintendent, Dr. Deborah Bishop and I am looking forward to hearing all of the reports about what God is doing and perhaps even what we imagine he will do. I am asking all members of the committees to be present.

We also kick off a new series that will be six weeks long, called : ________________, builds the church.  This is a great time for us to study our faith and begin a new time of prayer, focus, and spiritual formation together as we ask God to reveal to us "how to build the kingdom of God. In other words, how do we build the kingdom, God? Each week will be a new topic that builds towards our mission and vision in the church.

Lastly, I want to make everyone aware of an event on August 18th, at 5pm. It is a night of prayer and worship that you won't want to miss. We are going to be praying over the new building together, and there will be an extraordinary moment that you don't want to miss.

And always remember: That God is good!!! All the time!!!!
